In efforts to participate in our community and to help amputee children become comfortable, confident young men and women, Crockett Prosthetics and Orthotics is Proud to sponsor the 2010 Trail Run Series with River Sports Outfitters.

New Maryville Location!
Crockett Prosthetics and Orthotics will be having the grand opening of the new Maryville location on November 9th.
Prosthetic Parity – State or Federal legislation requiring insurance companies to pay for prosthetic devices on par with or equal to federal programs such as Medicare. It is necessary due to caps on the amount private insurance companies will pay for a prosthesis. Theses caps generally do not cover the lifetime need that an amputee has. There are approximately 1.9 million amputees in the United States. All amputees are subject to being affected by whether or not the prosthetic parity legislation is passed.

Second Annual Tennessee ToeOFF Trot Breaks Records
KNOXVILLE, Tenn. – Sept. 13 – More than 50 runners, walkers and supporters participated in the Tennessee ToeOFF Trot, presented by Allard USA and Crockett Prosthetics and Orthotics.
The second-annual event raised more than $4,000 for disabled Tennesseans in need of a lightweight ankle foot orthosis known as the ToeOFF.
The ToeOFF brace is used for footdrop gait deficits, as well as medical conditions such as multiple sclerosis and cerebral palsy.
Beth Deloria, who finished the Boston Marathon three times with the help of a ToeOFF brace, greeted participants and thanked them for their support.
“It was touching to see the excitement and enthusiasm of all the participants in the ToeOFF Trot,” Deloria said. “The funds raised at this event will benefit many Tennesseans who otherwise would not be able to afford the ToeOFF brace and I am truly honored to be a part of it.”
After the run, participants made donations for the use of canoes, kayaks and a climbing wall provided by River Sports Outfitters.
Allard USA holds ToeOFF Trots in both Tennessee and Texas and plans to expand the event throughout the Southeast. The Knoxville event is the most successful Trot.
“We are very pleased with the success of the Knoxville ToeOFF Trot,” Allard USA Mid-South District Manager Teresa Hamm said. “We look forward to expanding the event throughout the Southeast and continuing to raise money for those who need ToeOFF braces but cannot necessarily afford them.”
